The big discounts of Prime Day are now behind us but you don’t have to wait until Black Friday for the sales to return: there are plenty of great discounts to be had outside the sales periods on laptops from Apple, through Microsoft to Huawei and more.With so many different deals to consider, however, it can be difficult to sort the best from the worst. The best laptop deals in October 2023:
1. Microsoft Surface Pro 9 (was £1,044 on avg, now £849)
Slim, light and eminently portable, the Surface Pro 9 is a terrific 2-in-1, and it’s down to a very generous price. For just £849, you’re getting 12GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD and a speedy 12th Gen U-series Intel Core i5 processor. That’s only for the tablet, though – you’ll need to add a keyboard to turn it into a fully-fledged laptop.
3. MSI Modern 15 (Was £649, Now £517)
You don’t get many laptops under £500 with tempting specifications but this one from MSI is worth considering. It has a 15.6in Full HD screen, and comes with a 7000-series AMD Ryzen 7 CPU, 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. That’s an impressively powerful specification for this little cash.
4. Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 (was £1,633 on avg, now £1,401)
Down to its lowest price on record, the 15in Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 is fitted with a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, a hefty 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. On top of the sleek design and solid repairability options, we particularly like the webcam due to its crisp, clear visuals and support for face unlocking via Windows Hello.
5. Dell XPS 15 9530 (was £2,317 on average, now £2,199)
Dell’s XPS range has been around forever and it’s as refined as you’d expect it to be for such a mature brand. This model is a beaut’ and it comes with a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700H CPU, 16GB of RAM and a sizeable 1TB SSD, plus a seriously powerful Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU.
6. Dell XPS 13 (was £1,456 on avg, now £1,300)
Another terrific laptop, the Dell XPS 13 is still a good deal, even at the £1,300 it’s risen to, post Prime Day (October 2023). This deal gets you the high-end model, with a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, a generous 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage.
7. Asus Vivobook Pro 15 (was £1,066 on avg, now £1,000)
Back down to its lowest price ever, the Asus Vivobook Pro 15 offers some serious gaming specs for under £1,000. On top of the Full HD 144Hz display, this model brings an AMD Ryzen 7-6800H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU to the table, backed up by 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD.
8. Razer Blade 15 (was £3,363 on average, now £2,649)
Currently down more than £700 from the average price, this Razer Blade 15 deal is not to be missed. The Intel Core i7 processor is paired with RTX 3080 graphics, a 1TB SSD and a whopping 32GB of RAM, and the QHD display refreshes up to a lightning-quick 240Hz. This is a fully-featured gaming beast, and it’s currently at it’s lowest price on record.
